The 2023-2024 football season is upon us and it's time to look at the Raiders and see what they have to offer. They have a new look offense as the Derek Carr era has come to and end. Now its time for pretty boy Jimmy Garoppolo to take over and see if he can make the Raiders a playoff contender or maybe even a Superbowl caliber team. That might be easier said then done after all its been 20 years since the Raiders were in the Superbowl when the lost to Tampa Bay and almost 40 years ago since they've won a Superbowl.
The Raiders motto is a Commitment to Excellence a saying Al Davis earned for being an NFL pioneer as he was one of the men responsible for merging the AFL with the NFL. That was a longtime ago however and now many question the Raiders commitment to excellence because Al Davis is gone and its been a bumpy road for Mark Davis. Further more the league has changed over the years and the Raiders have changed cities three times as well. This year however they seemed poised to put the best team possible on the field by resigning Josh Jacobs and investing in Jimmy G a Superbowl caliber quarterback. Not to mention they have one of the best wide receiver's in the game Davante Adams
The Raiders showed the NFL there commitment to excellence by migrating to Las Vegas three years ago. Las Vegas is surely becoming the sports capital of the world so it was no wonder they rolled out the red carpet for the Raiders by building a new stadium called the Allegiant Stadium. Keep in mind this is Raider Nation were talking about and the stadium has been labeled the Death Star. A star of the art stadium with a retractable dome all done in Silver and Black. Now the steaks are higher then ever for Las Vegas as they already has two championship belts underneath them with the Aces and Golden Knights. Plus las Vegas will be the home of this season's Superbowl. The steaks are high and the time has come to see if the commitment to excellence can excel on the field and give Las Vegas what they want a Superbowl contenting team!
