Sabalenka finally wins a Grand Slam Tournament

Aryna Sabalenka become the 58th lady in history to win a major tennis tournament as she wins this years Australian Open . WTA #5 ranked Sabalenka fills her life time goal of winning a major title by defeating #25 E. Rybakina 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the final round in at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Australia, on Saturday.

Sabalenka known for her ferocious serve and over dominating style of play was in near perfect form throughout the tournament. She played 6 matches of flawless tennis by not losing a set before she reached the final draw. . Sabalenka has been heavily criticized in the past for not being able to control her emotions as she lead the WTA pack last year with the most double faults by any server. For those who know Aryna say the same thing. She has two serves, hard and harder. In many instance her second serve comes at you (128 mph) faster then anybody else on the circuit. However she was able to keep her emotions in check throughout the tournament as she finally achieves her lifetime dream of winning a Grand Slam Tournament.

There was moment in the final match against Rybakina who won the first set that Sabalenka appeared frustrated and might start losing control. However she regained her composure by not losing a serve game in the second set as she tied the match. Then in the third set she sensed destiny was on her side by having five Aces and a 62% first serve point. When she finally won all the emotions and raw power that she processes came out of her as she dropped to her knees in tears. Congratulations Sabalenka you filled a lifetime goal and silenced the critics who thought you couldn't do it.
